Hi, Iā€™m Delight. Yep, that's my real name!

I'm your teacher for this crochet class. I learned to crochet when I was in college in the fall of 2002.

I found that it really helped me when I got stressed over a big test or research paper.

And I was thrilled to realize that I could afford to give gifts to all my friends and family... if I crocheted them myself!

My 3 younger brothers and my dad were on my holiday gift list that year, so I quickly figured out how to crochet beanies for men. Turns out, my beanies were a big hit!

And I just kept crocheting for friends, family and then customers!

In 2013 I started writing and selling crochet patterns for my beanies. Now I created this course to teach you all the tips and tricks that I've picked up since 2002!

5 reasons why beanies are the best projects to crochet

~1~

Beanies work up really fast. In fact, by the time you finish this course, you'll be able to crochet a beanie in an hour or less! So, the next time you (almost) forget your brother's birthday, you can whip up a gift for him right before the party and he'll never know it only took you an hour!

~2~

Beanies are portable projects. Since you don't need a lot of yarn, you can pack a purse-sized crochet bag and bring your beanie crochet project with you anywhere. The next time you're in a dull meeting at work, you can whip out your crochet bag and feel productive while your boss drones on about TPS reports.

~3~

Crocheting a beanie gives you a quick win. When you've had a frustrating day and start to feel like your life is going nowhere, you can sit down and crochet a beanie in an hour or two. And you'll feel a little more in control of your life and proud of yourself for accomplishing a small achievement.

~4~

Sharing is caring. Imagine the look on your boyfriend's face when you give him a handmade beanie in the colors of his favorite sports team! He'll know that you really pay attention to his interests and took the time to customize a handmade beanie just for him. I feel warm and fuzzy just thinking about it!

~5~

Crocheting is like meditating. If I feel stressed, anxious or grumpy, sitting down to crochet for a few minutes always helps me calm down and find my center. I can almost hypnotize myself with the rhythm of the stitches and it helps my mind settle down and relax. Paired with a Netflix comedy special, there's no better way to turn my mood around than crocheting!

Here's what you'll learn in Crochet Beanies for Men...

While you're still in basic beanie mode, you can create a lot of variation in colors by using self-striping yarn!

Structured stripes

Using a slightly different technique called crocheting in joined rounds, you'll learn how to make perfect, straight stripes.

Pom pom beanie

Who doesn't love a beanie with a pom pom? You'll discover the easiest way to make a pom pom and my favorite tool for making it look great every time.

Slouchy beanie

Make this one for your hipster friends.

Add a little texture and extra warmth to the bottom of the beanie.
